SOUTH PLATTE RIVER FISHING REPORT with Jeremy Hamilton – Winter 2017

Colorado Fly Fishing Art - 5280 Angler Logo

After a bit of a hiatus, guide Jeremy Hamilton returns with a winter fishing report for the South Platte River. Jeremy’s report focuses on the Deckers area, as he offers up some ideas about traditionally successful winter midge patterns, but also throws in a few surprise fly suggestions that have been working as well. Jeremy also shares a few Dream Stream winter pattern suggestions and also shares his secrets to Winter at Boxwood success.

Winter fly fishing can be challenging but also highly rewarding. Look for sunny areas, and if you can target some of the warmer days to hit the water, all the better. Focus on quality presentation and dial in the right depth!

Good luck out there!
