The Eagle is a 60 mile freestone tributary of the Colorado. It is know for it’s beauty, prolific bug hatches, and quality wild trout. Eagle River trout are known as some of the strongest, best fighting fish in the state. Good size Rainbows, Browns, Cuttbows and the occasional Cutthroat inhabit the river. It is not uncommon to catch trout on nymph, streamer, and dry patterns in the same day.
