5280 Angler is THRILLED to announce that we have added ABELL RIVER RANCH to our list of private water fly fishing destinations. 

Located along the South Platte River just downstream of Elevenmile Canyon near the town of Lake George, CO, the Abell Ranch offers unbeatable fly fishing for wild trout.

Teeming with bug life and excellent trout habitat, this stretch of private water is must-fish. 

A nearly year round destination, the Abell River Ranch includes three miles of prime riffles, sneaky-deep pools, and runs that will make a dry fly angler drool. 

This property has never been available to the public until 2019, and we are very excited to be able to offer guided trips on the Abell River Ranch. 

We consider the South Platte River system to be our “home water,” so adding this three mile stretch is an addition that we are very pleased with, to say the least.
