5280 Angler is currently hiring Fly Fishing Guides for the upcoming season! We are proud to be an Orvis-Endorsed Outfitter, offering unforgettable walk/wade and float trips on both private and public water throughout Colorado’s Front Range and Western Slope.
Our team is built on shared values of service, instruction, and authentic hospitality. We are searching for individuals who are not only passionate about fly fishing, but who also thrive as part of a collaborative, guest-focused team.
Location: Colorado – Front Range & Western Slope
Employment Type: Seasonal – Full-Time or Part-Time
Pay Rate: $185 – $400 per day (based on trip type, duration, guest count, and reimbursements)
Gratuities: Customary tips are common and offered at guests’ discretion
Minimum Pay: Always meets or exceeds Colorado’s minimum wage


What You’ll Do
- Guide guests on walk/wade or float fishing trips across a variety of fisheries
- Share your knowledge and enthusiasm with anglers of all skill levels
- Provide expert instruction in casting, rigging, fly selection, and fish handling
- Conduct pre-trip safety briefings and practice emergency readiness
- Collaborate with lead guides and managers to deliver smooth, high-quality experiences
- Represent 5280 Angler with professionalism, integrity, and kindness

What We’re Looking For
- Prior professional guiding experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of Colorado rivers, entomology, and fly fishing techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain — training provided)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Whitewater Rowing Certification (required for float guides only)
- Physically able to hike, wade, row, and work long days in high-altitude environments
- A positive attitude, adaptability, and a team-first mindset
