Tim Schoenborn was born and raised in the state of Michigan. From a very young age, Tim was drawn to the rivers and the woods. Tim’s first fly fishing experience came on the world famous “holy waters” of the AuSable River where, through the years, his fly fishing education was formalized. Being a very avid outdoorsman, Tim also chased grouse and woodcock behind staunch pointers in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Tim also spent countless hours pursuing whitetail deer in the hardwoods with a recurve bow and cedar arrows.
Taking the road less traveled, Tim later settled West on the banks of the South Platte River, making his home along arguably the most notable and challenging fly fishing destination in Colorado. In choosing to become a professional Rocky Mountain fly fishing guide, Tim wanted to share his knowledge and experience with anglers of all walks of life and levels of experience. When Tim’s asked about his drive to guide, the answer is simple: “I love to teach and share special moments with clients on the water.” Based upon extensive first hand knowledge and experience, Tim has developed a very simple system with regard to fly fishing the waters of Colorado. He looks forward to sharing his expertise with you.
